Carmen opera production...

My only experience on performing in an opera production was the "Carmen" opera, performed in the end of year 2004....(which is my STPM year and also, I din miss pessoc's music camp performance....busy like crazy.)

The staging and the acting is a great fun besides the singing part. Each singer got a set of unique costume which is different from other singers.

Pre Dressing

We had our very early dinner before performance....and you can see, I have done hair and part of make-up. The guy in the middle, done everything...and the last guy, done nothing....hahaha...

Act 1

I am the spanish factory girl... it is the nicest factory costume I ever seen. Actually, I should go on stage bare footed, but I forgot to take off my shoes when taking this photo.Look at my hair style. Does it suits me?

In the first act, I also play another character besides factory girl. I act as a passer-by during the guys' opening chorus. You know what kinda passer-by I was?
Tadaaa.....the muslim nun and a catholic nun.....say cheese! So we come in opposite direction, knock each other, then run away....that's all. So, inside my nun costume is my factory girl costume.

Act 2 & 3

ok, in 2nd and 3rd act, we act as gypsy smugglers.....wakakakakaz.... the blue scarf is actually wear like a malay tudung before I get on stage.....it is very nice going with my costume. My "boyfriend" in the first act actually... When i took this picture I din bring along my scarf....so I pinjam orang lain punya...haha... why must have a scarf? It is a bit too sexy.

Act 4

The spanish couple in the act 4, acting like we are going in for a bull-fighting show. Picture taken after the show la of course.

Toreador and la donna.... looks nice leh? :-)
