Les Crepes!

Crepe, a french word, that means "pan cake". The pronunciation is similar as pronouncing "crap" in english. The place which is most famous for crepes is Rennes.

Ok enough for lesson, tonight my dinner is crepe. Me and my housemate who learn french try to make this crepe according to our french text book. So here it goes...

At first, 250g of flour+2 eggs+0.5liter of milk+a pinch of salt+some water.... then mix all into a watery paste, like this...

here is some tips in mixing the paste: make the flour into a small hill, then only add the water and milk and egg (liquid) around the "flour hill". Then slowly kacau in circle without touching the "hill", so that the flour won't become ketul-ketulan which drive you mad.

anyway, playing while taking picture is some additional activities you can do, like this:

Then, you put the paste into a pan and toss it around to make it round, flip it over when the one side is cooked, then voila, you got your first crepe...

looks like roti canai eh? it tasted different actually..... roti canai no milk..

Anyway, there is sometimes accident can happen, so kanak-kanak, jaga-jaga sikit ya?

like this one, after my housemate tossed it, she terambil the fire lighter on the right side to go and kacau instead of the wooden spatula at the left side.... well, this joke is a bit too dangerous pal....

this picture demonstrate how unprofessional a person can be....this "round" crepe looks like flying white devil with the small holes like the eyes.....haih....

Ok, next, we fry some chicken mushroom ham, bought in cold storage KLCC, not expensive one....

after

Besides ham, tuna mayonaise can be another choice to go with crepes

to make it nicer, add some onions and heat the tuna mayonaise in the pans that you use to fry the ham just now....

After done it all, serve it nice and get ready to eat.

The crepes, the cheese, the ham, the tuna.....dinner's served!

Mon amis et moi, les cuisinieres pour les crepes.

My grand finale! my last piece of crepe, I put two pieces of ham and one whole cut of cheese spread....oh my goodness, this is really......Hallelujah!

See the panda girl eating the grand finale? Am I holding a clarinet instead??
